Vugar Isgandarov reminded Iran of the “Vienna Convention”…

Azerbaijani MP: “The Iranian government could have taken precautionary measures…”

“We strongly condemn the despicable attack on the Tehran Embassy of Azerbaijan and the planned terrorist act, and demand immediate punishment of those who committed this crime and the perpetrators.” These words were said by Azerbaijani Deputy Vugar Isgandarov.

According to the deputy, attempts by the Iranian authorities to distort the motives of this terrorist event and describe it as a personal, ordinary domestic event are unacceptable. These steps by the Iranian authorities mean that they are openly defending the terrorist.

Think about why the Iranian regime describes a terrorist attack on the Azerbaijani embassy as a common everyday event, when it executes itself for not wearing a hijab…

After this attack on the Azerbaijani embassy, Azerbaijan is accepting condolences from all over the world. Countries around the world condemn the terrorist attack. In particular, brotherly Turkey, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Estonia, Croatia, Spain, Mexico, the United States and the United Nations strongly condemned the terrorist attack.

We hope that there is no connection between the anti-Azerbaijani propaganda of the Iranian press, the military exercises on our borders and the terrorist act carried out today. We hope that the terrorist attack in question is not caused by the mullah regime’s hostility towards the Azerbaijani state and people…

Considering that the threats against Azerbaijan in the country have increased recently, the Iranian government could have taken precautionary measures.

International organizations and the world community should see that the Iranian authorities, who seriously violate the requirements of the Vienna Convention, must take responsibility for failing to protect the security of our diplomatic mission!”

Let’s remind that, in the morning of January 27, a terrorist attack was carried out on the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran. As a result of the attack, Orkhan Asgarov, head of the embassy’s security service, died and two officers were injured.
