Tehran has told the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres about the need to lift all US sanctions from Iran to fight coronavirus, said Iranian MFA spokesperson Abbas Mousavi.
VOICEPRESS reports citing foreign media that the Iranian FM Mohammad Javad Zarif in a letter to the UN Secretary-General – copies of which were sent to the heads of international organizations and FMs of all states – touched upon the need to lift all unilateral and illegal US sanctions on Iran, Musavi tweeted.
The number of coronavirus cases in Iran has exceeded 10 thousand, 429 of which are fatal, said Alireza Vahabzadeh, an adviser to the health minister.
According to his tweet, 1075 coronavirus cases have been confirmed since yesterday, the number of infected has increased to 10 075; 75 patients died in a day. Thus the death toll has reached 429.
Out of more than 10 thousand infected 3276 people have already recovered.
